The Undergraduate Student Government at Michigan Technological University offers many services to the school’s 7,000+ students. Focused on allocating funds to 220 student organizations on campus, USG supports orgs of all sizes and themes. Within USG there are liaisons, advisors, and student representatives. These positions are meant to encompass all aspects of student life here at Tech.
COVID-19 Actions and Protocol
In-person office hours are back on! As long as the University's safety level allows, we'll be in-person (though with limited staff and hours). Feel free to stop by at the MUB to talk with us! We're located on the first floor to the right of the Campus Bookstore.
Monday-Friday 8 AM - 5 PM
USG’s weekly meetings take place on Wednesdays from 7 PM-9 PM in the MUB Alumni Lounge. A zoom option is available for those who wish to attend virtually. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for the meeting’s Zoom link.

From Winter Carnival to Homecoming weekend, USG plays a key role in supporting campus traditions. USG allocates a large portion of the Student Activity Fee to campus traditions that Tech has to offer.
USG has a direct line of communication to the Michigan Tech executive team, the University Senate, the Graduate Student Government, and the Board of Trustees. Our job is to ensure the student voice is heard when major policy decisions are being made. Talk with your USG representative or attend one of our weekly meetings (Wednesdays @ 7pm on Zoom) to share your concerns.
